Los Alamos

In the past decade, this historic little one horse town has experienced a Renaissance. Known widely for its antique shops, the town puttered along for many years doing just fine on its own, with a few art galleries, some nice eateries, and its Historic 1880 Union Hotel. Recently the town has acquired multiple extremely well-known restaurants, several wine tasting rooms, and other attractions. The town still has a very special neighborly feel to it; a feel that it’s residents intend on not allowing to fade. Recently a community fundraising effort succeeded in re-opening the Los Alamos Public Library. Its Olga Reed School is considered an exemplary public elementary school. There is so much MORE than charm to this charming small town, affectionately called “Little LA” by many of its residents.
